I know its been out for a while now, but I do LOVE Scarlett Johansson’s album Anywhere I Lay My Head, in which she breathily covers a selection of Tom Waits songs. Been listening to it for the past two days and Scarlett’s voice is like a cross between Marianne Faithfull on a good day, and Nico on a bad day.
A very pleasant surprise. Love it.
