McQueen Shows

Like with the Venice Carnival, they say that you have not really lived if you have not attended a McQueen show

"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."- T.S. Eliot.
"We are devastated to learn of the death of Alexander McQueen, one of the greatest talents of his generation.
"He brought a uniquely British sense of daring and aesthetic fearlessness to the global stage of fashion. In such a short career, Alexander McQueen's influence was astonishing – from street style, to music culture and the world’s museums. His passing marks an insurmountable loss.

Alexander Mcqueen RIP

I was very saddened to hear that one of fashion's brightest stars has passed away.

Here you can see him pictured with his friend and muse, Isabella Blow, who also committed suicide a few years ago by  drinking weed killer.

"At the time Isabella was mocked for supporting a cab driver's son - and people were critical of Alexander because he was such a rebel - but he came through for Issy, and his success was his vindication. I hope they are together now."
Detmar Blow, Isabella's widower

It is believed that Alexander took his life a few days after he learnt that his mother passed  away.

How terribly sad - what a terrible void.
